Ten Commandments In The Light Of Jesus Christ | Meditations On The Love Of Jesus Christ

Looking at Jesus’ life and teachings, we see how important it is to honour our parents. Jesus Himself showed respect and obedience to his parents, Mary and Joseph. Jesus grew up under their care, learning from them and being a loving and responsible son.

Jesus taught his followers to value their parents and to treat them well. He said that those who take care of their parents are doing the right thing. Jesus also showed love and concern for his mother, even when he was suffering on the cross. Jesus made sure she was taken care of by one of his close disciples.

Jesus taught us that family is not only about blood relationships but also about treating others with love and respect. He said that anyone who does the will of God is like family to him. So, as followers of Jesus, we should honour our parents and all those who have cared for us, showing them love, gratitude, and forgiveness.

Let us remember Jesus’ example and strive to honor our parents by listening to them, respecting them, and appreciating the sacrifices they have made for us. Let us be patient and understanding, seeking forgiveness and reconciliation when needed. May our relationships with our parents reflect the love and grace of Jesus in our lives.

‘Honor your father and mother’ (Matthew 19:19, KJV).

  • Jesus Is The Son Of God | KJV | King James Version | Audio Bible | God The Son

Jesus speaks of his crucifixion as he speaks of his being sent by his Father and of his being consubstantial with his Father. Jesus has made himself man, and this was necessary for our sakes. However, his being is most truly in heaven. He is divine. The entirety of Jesus’ being, as God the Son, is beyond our human comprehension. In order to be with Jesus, we must surrender our fears and our doubts and have faith in what has been promised to us. Jesus is from above – and he asks us to join him [ … ]

  • Audio Bible | Jesus Is Baptized | John The Baptist | KJV Bible Verses | Oliver Peers

Baptism is the basis of the whole Christian life, the gateway to life in the Spirit and the door which gives access to the other sacraments. Through Baptism we are freed from sin and reborn as sons of God; we become members of Christ, are incorporated into the Church and made sharers in her mission: Baptism is the sacrament of regeneration through water in the word [ … ]

  • Audio Bible | Christmas | Saint John The Apostle | The Beloved Disciple

Today’s Bible reading from the Gospel of St John speaks of the beloved disciple, and from earliest times we have identified this disciple with John. It is strange, however, that this identification is not made in the Gospel. It may be that in so readily equating the beloved disciple with John, we miss out on an important truth of the Gospel, which is that we are all beloved disciples – this title is not that of John only; it is open to us all [ … ]
