‘Remember the Sabbath and keep it holy.’
The Sabbath, as outlined in the Old Testament and upheld in Christian teaching, is a day set apart for rest, worship, and reflection. It is a sacred day designated by God as a reminder of His creative work and a time to honour and commune with Him.

Jesus condemned the religious leaders who burdened people with strict rules and regulations on the Sabbath, instead emphasizing the spirit of the law and acts of love and mercy (Matthew 12:1-14).
